Selection of materials
Material selection is a complex and time-consuming process, especially in today’s world, where materials undergo numerous checks before becoming part of an EGM product.
Twenty years ago, our work was simpler: we didn’t conduct any tests and were completely confident in the results. Today, the situation has changed. We have implemented strict quality control standards to ensure the durability and reliability of our products.
Key stages of material testing:
Scratch resistance testing. We conduct special tests to determine the material’s resistance to mechanical damage. Some delicate leathers are still used despite the risk of scratching, as they have unique aesthetic properties. All leather used in our products is through-dyed.
Water resistance testing. This is one of the most important tests. Materials that swell or deform upon contact with water are considered defective and returned to the supplier. We cannot allow substandard materials to reach our customers.
In addition to the primary materials, we pay close attention to the selection of components and auxiliary materials:
Duplex materials. We partner with trusted manufacturers such as Salamander.
Zippers. We use products from leading manufacturers such as YKK and RiRi, guaranteeing reliability and durability.
Adhesives and paints. To ensure durability and resistance to external influences, we carefully select compounds that meet our quality standards. Each component is tested to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
Thread. We pay special attention to the selection of thread, which is a vital link in the product. We prefer one of the best threads on the market—Gütermann, which ensures superior quality and durability.
This meticulous approach to material selection allows us to create products that meet the highest quality standards and satisfy our customers’ expectations.
